Answers to common questions, and how to reach us.
1Contact us
Email us with any question, problem or idea. KAIZONE is run by one person, Matthew Wildig, in Diss, Norfolk, so you’ll hear back from a real person, usually within two working days.
If something isn’t working, it helps to include your phone model, what you tapped, and the version number shown at the bottom of Profile & settings.
2Getting started
Do I need an account?
You can explore the demo without one. To build and use your own plan, register with your name, email address and a password. You must be 18 or over.
How do I add KAIZONE to my Home Screen?
In Safari, open KAIZONE, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Open it from the Home Screen icon from then on. It works full screen and its storage is more durable.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. KAIZONE works offline. If backup is on, your changes upload the next time you have signal.
3Your account
I didn’t get the confirmation email
Check your spam or junk folder for an email from no-reply@kaizone.co.uk. It can take a few minutes. On the “Check your inbox” screen you can tap Resend email. Still nothing? Email us.
I forgot my password
On the log-in screen tap Forgot password? and enter your email. Open the link in the email, choose a new password, then open KAIZONE from your Home Screen and log in.
How do I change my password?
Go to Profile & settings › Change password.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile & settings › Delete account. This permanently deletes your login and everything in your account, including backed-up photos, and removes your data from that phone. It can’t be undone, so export a copy first if you want to keep anything.
4Your data and backup
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. If you turn on backup, a copy is also kept in your account (Supabase, London) so it’s safe if you lose your phone. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I turn backup on or off?
Go to Profile & settings › Data & privacy. Turning backup off deletes the copy in your account. Your data stays on your phone.
Can I back up my progress photos?
Yes, as a separate choice: Profile & settings › Back up progress photos. Otherwise photos stay on your phone.
I’ve got a new phone. How do I get my data back?
If backup was on, just log in on the new phone and KAIZONE brings everything down. If backup was off, use Export my data on the old phone, then Restore from a backup on the new one.
Can I use KAIZONE on two phones?
Yes. Turn on backup and log in on both. Changes on one appear on the other.
5Training and nutrition
How does KAIZONE pick my weights?
The first time you do an exercise, pick a weight you could lift for 2–3 more reps. After that, if you hit every rep, the next session adds a small jump (for example +2.5 kg upper body, +5 kg lower). If you missed reps, or it felt like an all-out effort, it keeps the same load.
How do I change an exercise?
During a workout, tap the swap icon on any exercise. To plan ahead, go to Train, tap a day and swap exercises there. Your equipment choices automatically swap out anything you can’t do.
I’m going away. Can my sessions fit a hotel gym?
Yes. Turn on Holiday mode in Profile & settings, choose the kit you’ll have, and sessions adapt for those dates.
What happens if I close the app mid-workout?
Every tap is saved. Open KAIZONE again and tap Resume workout on Today.
How are my calories worked out?
Your maintenance comes from the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, your daily activity and your planned training, then it’s adjusted for your goal. Weigh in regularly and KAIZONE suggests adjustments from your 7-day average trend. You can also set your own targets.
A food is missing or its numbers look wrong
Food search and barcodes use Open Food Facts, a free database anyone can improve. You can always add your own food with your own values.
